- Book Publishing: including ISBN and DOI assignment, print and digital formats (paperback, hardcover)
- Textbooks and Edited Books: including ISBN and DOI assignment
- Conference Proceedings and Research Journals: both print and digital formats
- Google Books Facility: for digital publication
- Paperback and Hardcover Printing
2. Request for Cancellation
Clients wishing to cancel an order or service must submit a written request via email or post to the Company’s official communication channels. The request must include:
- A clear statement of the cancellation
- Relevant order or service details (e.g., order number, project name, client name)
- The reason for cancellation (if applicable)
Requests will be processed as per the timelines specified below.
3. Cancellation Timelines
3.1 Before Work Commencement: If the cancellation request is made before any work has commenced on the project (i.e., no editorial, design, or printing work has started), the client will be entitled to a full refund of any advance payment made.
3.2 After Work Commencement: Once work has started, the following cancellation charges will apply:
- Within 7 days of initiating work: If the cancellation request is received within 7 days after work has commenced, the client will be entitled to a refund of 50% of the advance payment.
- Between 8 to 14 days of initiating work: If the cancellation request is made between 8 to 14 days of work commencement, the client will be entitled to a refund of 30% of the advance payment.
- After 14 days of initiating work: If the cancellation request is made after 14 days of initiating work, no refund will be provided. However, the client may be entitled to receive the completed work up to the point of cancellation if applicable.
4. Cancellation of Printed and Published Materials
Once materials have been printed, published, or distributed (whether physical or digital), cancellations are not accepted, and no refund will be issued. In the case of errors caused by the Company (such as printing mistakes, errors in ISBN/DOI assignment, or digital publishing issues), the Company will correct the error at no additional cost to the client. The client must notify the Company of any errors or discrepancies within 7 days of receiving the materials.
5. Non-Refundable Fees
Certain fees are non-refundable under all circumstances, including:
- Charges for editorial, design, and consultation services rendered before cancellation
- Costs incurred for third-party services or products already purchased (e.g., ISBN and DOI registration fees, printing, licensing for stock images)
- Shipping charges for delivered printed materials
- Digital distribution fees (e.g., Google Books setup)
6. Refund Process
6.1 Refund Initiation: Once the cancellation request is processed and approved, the Company will initiate the refund to the client’s original payment method. The refund will be processed within 30 business days from the date of cancellation approval.
6.2 Refund Amount: Refund amounts will be calculated based on the terms outlined above. The Company will deduct any applicable cancellation charges, non-refundable fees, or costs incurred during the process.
6.3 Mode of Refund: Refunds will be made through the same payment method used for the original transaction. If that is not possible, a bank transfer or other mutually agreed-upon method will be used.
7. Force Majeure
The Company will not be held liable for any delays or cancellations caused by unforeseen circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to:
- Natural disasters
- Government actions or restrictions
- Technical failures
- Labor strikes or other industrial actions
- Other events of force majeure
In such cases, the Company will make every effort to reschedule or modify the work, and no penalties will be applied to either party. If the client decides to cancel under such circumstances, the terms of this policy will apply to the extent possible.
8. Modification of Cancellation Policy
NC Publishers reserves the right to modify this Cancellation Policy at any time without prior notice. Any changes made to the policy will be communicated to clients via email or by posting on the official website. Modifications will apply to all cancellations made after the date of the updated policy.
9. Dispute Resolution
In case of a dispute arising out of the cancellation or refund process, both parties will make every effort to resolve the issue amicably. If a resolution cannot be reached through mutual agreement, the matter will be resolved according to the laws of India, and the jurisdiction of the courts in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, will apply.
